AperitIf: Gulliver’s Innovation in Automated Cocktail Making

The aperitivo is a quintessentially Italian moment, a tradition to which we have added our love for technology and innovation. The AperitIf project was born from an idea during an office party: to automate the creation of aperitifs. At Gulliver, we love to have fun and embrace challenges.

From a “Crazy” Idea to an Innovative Solution

The project started with wooden prototypes of the machine. What began as a “crazy” idea evolved into a structured and organized endeavor, involving external professionals and experts in product design, production, and certifications. We even obtained a patent.

Components of AperitIf

AperitIf consists of two main parts: hardware and software. The hardware includes the machine and all its physical components. The software consists of the mobile app for smartphones. These two parts communicate via an IoT (Internet of Things) board and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) connection. This connection allows interaction with the machine through the app as well as manually.

Design and Functionality

The machine is compact and minimal, available with a white, black, or event-customizable casing. The app is modern and intuitive, simple and immediate to use. It allows users to adjust liquid doses, create favorite cocktails, and save measurements. Additionally, it enables connection with other aperitif enthusiasts.

Multiple Use and Personalization

What if multiple people use the same machine? No problem. The app allows users to switch between profiles, so everyone can always have their favorite drinks exactly as they prefer. The app and the machine are easy to use for everyone!
